Kings center DeMarcus Cousins is listed as doubtful on Sacramento’s injury report for Sunday’s game against Portland at Sleep Train Arena.
After practice on Saturday, Cousins spent time working on his perimeter shooting.
Cousins did not play in the Kings 107-96 loss to the Spurs on Friday night due to a left ankle sprain and left hip contusion. Sacramento is 2-11 this season without Cousins in the lineup.
The 6-foot-11 center sustained the injuries while securing 16 points, nine rebounds and six assists in just under 25 minutes in the team's 102-90 win over Memphis on Wednesday.
Cousins appeared to sustain the injuries at the 8:29 mark of the fourth quarter when operating in the post and fouled by Kosta Koufos of the Grizzlies.
He hobbled to halfcourt and sat on the Sleep Train Arena floor before making his way to the free throw line.
Cousins actually played through the injuries before fouling out with 46.3 seconds remaining with the Kings leading 101-90.
The All-Star is averaging 23.7 points and 12.2 rebounds per game, ranking sixth and third in the NBA respectively and is third in the league with 34 double-doubles, trailing Pau Gasol of Chicago (38) and Orlando’s Nikola Vucevic (35).

Additionally, Sacramento’s starting point guard Darren Collison also will not face the Blazers as surgery is likely for the UCLA product on Tuesday to repair a core muscle injury. It will be Collison’s ninth consecutive missed game and Sacramento is 3-5 in his absence.
The Blazers (38-19) are in California’s capital city on Sunday before the Kings (20-36) embark on an eight game road trip.
