The Kings blew out the Knicks 124-86 on Tuesday at Madison Square Garden in the first game of an eight game road trip.
After leading 35-19 after the first quarter, Sacramento leveraged a 22-4 run in the second quarter to grab a commanding 61-31 advantage.
The Kings never looked back and led by as many as 44 points in the third quarter.
Rudy Gay lead the Kings (21-37) with 25 points while DeMarcus Cousins added 22 points and 10 rebounds and Ben McLemore contributed 20 points in the victory.
Derrick Williams (17), Nik Stauskas (15) and Omri Casspi (14) provided double-digit bench production in Sacramento’s win.
Alexey Schved lead the Knicks with 15 points while Jason Smith and Shane Larkin scored 13 points each in the losing effort.
Sacramento (21-37) is now 3-3 under Karl, improves to 8-18 on the road, 12-13 in back-to-back games and 7-6 in the first game of back-to-back scenarios.
Sacramento ended a four-game road losing streak and also snapped the Knicks (12-47) modest two-game winning streak.
The Kings also achieved a sweep of the season series 2-0 by virtue of the Dec. 27 135-129 overtime win over New York in Sacramento and Tuesday’s win in a game that was originally scheduled for Jan. 26 but postponed due to inclement weather.
DeMarcus Cousins returned to the lineup after a two-game absence due to a left ankle sprain and secured his 35th double-double of the season scoring 22 points and corralling 10 rebounds.
For Cousins, it was a triumphant return to the Madison Square Garden floor where the 6-foot-11 center made his first All-Star appearance last month.

Knicks -- F Carmelo Anthony (left knee surgery) and G Jose Calderon (sore left achilles) were out.
