The end is upon us. The Sacramento Kings finish the 2015-16 campaign Wednesday night in Houston when they go to battle short-handed against the Rockets at the Toyota Center.
According to multiple sources, George Karl is coaching his final game with the Kings. The future Hall of Fame coach is set to be relieved of his duties Thursday morning and the Kings are expected to launch an exhaustive search for his replacement.
Sacramento has nothing left to play for this season, but the same cannot be said about the Rockets. If they win, they are in the playoffs. If they lose and the Jazz beat the Lakers in Kobe Bryant’s final game as a pro, the Rockets head into the offseason wondering what went wrong.

MATCHUP TO WATCH
Seth Curry vs. Patrick Beverley -- Curry has found a home in the Kings starting lineup. The 25-year-old guard lit the Suns up for 20 points and 15 assists on Monday night in place of Rajon Rondo. He faces a much tougher task in Houston against defensive specialist Patrick Beverley. Expect Beverley to stick to Curry like glue.
Kings: F Omri Casspi (strained right hamstring) out, SG Marco Belinelli (sore right foot) out, C DeMarcus Cousins (rest) out, PG Rajon Rondo (rest) out, Darren Collison (rest) out.
Rockets: F Sam Dekker (back) questionable.
The Rockets lead the Kings 2-1 in the season series and have taken the last four against Kings at the Toyota Center. Houston leads the Kings 123-88 all-time and 82-42 during the Sacramento-era.
