Kings point guard Darren Collison left Thursday night's game against the Mavericks with an abdominal strain and did not return.
He is scheduled for an MRI on Friday, CSNCalifornia.com has confirmed.
With 1:44 left in the second quarter, Collison made a driving layup to cut the Mavericks' lead to 52-39, but the point guard landed awkwardly and immediately grabbed his right groin area before walking to the locker room under his own power.
Collison, 27, is averaging 16.1 points and 5.6 assists per game this year for the Kings.
The Sacramento Bee was first to report the news.
