After his second consecutive DNP-CD on Monday night (Did Not Play -- Coach's Decision), Kings rookie Nik Stauskas tweeted out an emoji of a pencil and pad.
Perhaps Stauskas is taking notes from the bench?
The Canadian’s rocky start in the NBA has included trade rumors, as first reported by CBS Sports.
Stauskas has struggled with the Kings, averaging 3.6 points per game while shooting 33 percent from the floor and 27 percent from 3-point range
He shot 44 percent from downtown for Michigan en route to averaging 17.5 points per game as a sophomore and garnering Big Ten Player of the Year honors.
Selected with the eighth pick in the 2014 NBA draft to bolster the Kings perimeter game, Sacramento’s 3-point shooting percentage is nearly identical to last season at 33 percent -- 22nd in the NBA.
Stauskas played in Sacramento's first 39 games of the season yet did not appear in Monday's loss to the Blazers at the Moda Center after picking up his first DNP-CD of the season in Saturday's loss to the Clippers at Sleep Train Arena.
The Kings (16-25) have lost four straight and are eight games behind Phoenix, who sits in the eighth and final playoff spot in the Western Conference.
