Brandon Belt and the Giants will reportedly be meeting in a courtroom this week.
The two sides are scheduled to meet with an arbitrator on Wednesday, according to multiple reports.
Back in mid-January, Belt filed at $7.5 million, while the Giants filed at $5.3 million.

It's still possible that arbitration can be avoided with a one-year deal, or multi-year agreement.
In 2014, Belt and the club avoided arbitration at the last minute.
The Giants have not had a hearing since A.J. Pierzysnki in 2004.
