With two weeks to go until the Aug. 1 non-waiver trade deadline, it's decision time for teams around Major League Baseball. Those with a chance to make a playoff run will be looking around the league for others who are willing to sell assets and accept that 2016 isn't their year.
The New York Yankees may be as interesting as any team to evaluate right now. They are 44-45, one game under .500, and 8 1/2 games out of first in the AL East. That's a sizable deficit, but stranger things have happened.
If their season doesn't turn around soon, though, they are likely to trade star closer Aroldis Chapman. That's according to Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports, who notes that Chapman is set to be a free agent this upcoming winter.
Just reported on @FS1: #Yankees will trade potential FAs Chapman, Beltran if things don't turn. Drawing interest in multiple SPs. Link soon.

Clarification on #Yankees: Nothing certain. Beltran limited no-trade. But NYY will take offers for both him and Chapman if they fall out.
