Rangers' Nelson Cruz could face a suspension from MLB for ties to the Biogenesis of America clinic, so the Texas franchise is monitoring their trade-deadline options. Giants' Hunter Pence is among three players they are targeting, according to a Star-Telegram report.

The Rangers are also reportedly targeting the Alex Rios of the White Sox and Kendrys Morales of the Mariners.

The Giants trail the first-place Dodgers by seven games in the NL West, but it is unclear if general manager Brian Sabean plans to buy or sell at the trade deadline.

Pence, who will be a free agent at the end of the season, is tied for the team lead with 14 home runs and four triples. The 30-year old is batting .268 in 100 games this season, with 69 strikeouts and 25 walks.

Former National League MVP Ryan Braun was suspended 65 games on Monday.

The Rangers, who trail the Oakland A's by three games in the AL West, recently bolstered their starting rotation by adding Matt Garza.
