Cuban prospect Yoan Moncada worked out for the Dodgers on Monday morning, according to a Yahoo! Sports report.
Moncada, who the Giants held a private workout with earlier in January, is one of the top international prospects on the market.
Teams with deep pockets like the Yankees, Red Sox and Dodgers are said to be frontrunners for Moncada's talent, as he is expected to fetch big -- potentially record-setting -- money on the international market.
Moncada does not possess enough professional experience to qualify for a major league contract, so whichever team takes the plunge will be required to sign him to a minor league deal.
Giants GM Brian Sabean has voiced his interest in signing a Cuban prospect. Moncada would immediately become the top prospect in the Giants thin farm system.
Sources: Cuban prospect Yoan Moncada worked out for the Dodgers this morning. They remain a significant threat because of deep pockets.
