The Giants are quickly moving on after missing out on Jon Lester, and plan to meet with Ervin Santana's representatives at the MLB Winter Meetings in San Diego on Wednesday, according to an ESPN report.
Santana, 31, went 14-10 with a 3.95 ERA in 31 starts for the Braves last year, compiling 179 strikeouts to 63 walks.
The 10-year MLB veteran has made at least 30 starts in each of the last five seasons.
The Giants are also reported to be kicking the tires on Phillies ace Cole Hamels.

The Giants already have a five-man rotation set for 2015 with Madison Bumgarner, Matt Cain, Tim Hudson, Tim Lincecum and Yusmeiro Petit. But the team has made it clear that they would like to add an established arm, calling starting pitching "an important need."
