Zito didn't fare so well in San Francisco, compiling a 63-80 record and a 4.62 ERA.

In Game 5 of the NLCS, Zito tossed 7.2 shutout innings as the Giants staved off elimination by defeating the Cardinals in St. Louis 5-0.
And in Game 1 of the World Series, Zito allowed just one run over 5.2 innings and the Giants beat the Tigers 8-3.
