FORT MYERS -- Until last November, the San Francisco Giants were all that Pablo Sandoval had ever known.
Scouted and signed by the club as a teenager, Sandoval spent parts of seven seasons with the Giants, winning three World Series in the last five years.
But with an opportunity to remain with the Giants after last season, Sandoval instead opted to sign a five-year, $95 million deal with the Red Sox.
On Tuesday, he reported to camp, and began the first day of the rest of his baseball career. New uniform, new colors, new teammates and new league -- all at once.
"I'm excited, excited to be in camp,'' said Sandoval, who worked on some agility and flexibilty drills. "I'm excited to be part of the organization. I'm excited to be in white and red. I love it.''
