Reigning N.L. MVP Bryce Harper was suspended one-game by Major League Baseball on Wednesday for his post-ejection outburst to umpire Brian Knight following Clint Robinson's walk-off home run on Monday night against the Tigers.
Harper was ejected by Knight following a bizarre sequence in during the bottom of the ninth inning which Danny Espinosa was called out on balls and strikes.
After a bit of back and forth between Espinosa and Knight, the home-plate umpire signaled an ejection and pointed toward the dugout.
Harper emerged from the dugout confused, and Dusty Baker went out to protest, to no avail.
