Tim Lincecum was named the National League Player of the Week, MLB announced Monday afternoon.
The two-time Cy Young Award winner no-hit the Padres on Wednesday, just 347 days after he no-hit them last July in San Diego.
He allowed no hits and just one walk while striking out six in the historic performance.
Lincecum's no-hitter was the third of the 2014 MLB season. The first two came from Dodgers pitchers Josh Beckett (May 25) and Clayton Kershaw (June 18).
Kershaw was spectacular in his two outings last week: 1) June 24 at Royals -- 8 IP, 0 ER, 6 H, 8 K, BB, WIN and 2) June 29 vs. Cardinals -- 7 IP, 0 ER, 5 H, 13 K, 2 BB, WIN, but Lincecum still took home the hardware.
Lincecum will take the mound Tuesday night as the Giants open a three-game series against the Cardinals.
