The Giants are bringing back left-hander Travis Blackley, the Australian pitcher announced in an Instagram post on Monday.
"I'm happy to announce that I am back again," Blackley wrote. "I love the Bay Area and the teams that play there. Can't wait for this new opportunity and to see some familiar faces again this season. Thanks to the Giants for believing in me enough to bring me back. I'm very grateful and excited to make it worth your while."
The team is yet to announce the signing, but it's likely a minor league contract.
Blackley, 32, did not pitch in the majors in 2014, instead heading abroad to play in Japan. He last pitched in the bigs in 2013, registering a 4.83 ERA over 50.1 MLB innings split between the Astros and Rangers.
Blackley pitched for both the Giants and A's in 2012.
