Giants third baseman Pablo Sandoval lost out in the NL Gold Glove voting, finishing behind Colorado's Nolan Arenado for the honor.
Sandoval was second among NL third basemen with 1,265 defensive innings and his 5.7 dWAR ranked fourth best in the league. His 11 errors were the fifth fewest among NL third basemen to play at least 750 innings at the position.
Arenado won the award as a rookie last season with the Colorado Rockies, and took home the award again despite being limited to 111 games because of injuries.
Sandoval was the Giants’ only finalist for a Gold Glove.
