Giants catcher Buster Posey was removed from Wednesday game against the Marlins in the bottom of the fifth inning.
The Giants didn't immediately announce why Posey left the game, but announced during the eighth inning that he was being evaluated after taking a foul ball of the mask during the bottom of the second inning, and that further update would be provided after the game.
He was replaced by Andrew Susac.
