Programming note: Brewers-Giants coverage starts tonight at 7 p.m. on NBC Bay Area.
The Giants activated Nori Aoki from the disabled list on Monday. To clear space on the 25-man roster, the team designated infielder Joaquin Arias for assignment.
Arias, 30, was hitting .207 with one home run over 40 games for the Giants this year. Over four years with the Giants, Arias hit .262 with seven home runs and 72 RBI.
He memorably recorded the final out of Matt Cain's perfect game on June 13, 2012, playing third base.
