Curiously enough, the real Commissioner's Trophy, along with the championship trophies from 2010 and 2012, are currently at Tiffany & Co. in New York being refurbished, CSNBayArea.com has learned.
It's unclear what trophy Morse is holding, and when the photo was taken, but each Giants player has the option to purchase -- at a significant price -- a replica of the trophy.
Morse, 32, signed a one-year, $6 million contract to join the Giants this season. He hit .279 with 16 home runs and 61 RBI in 131 games, adding six hits and five RBI in 15 postseason games.
Morse showed a flair for the dramatic in the playoffs, hitting the game-tying home run in the bottom of the eighth inning in Game 5 of the NLCS, when the Giants beat the Cardinals to advance to the World Series, and knocking in the game-winning run in Game 7 of the World Series.
