Jon Lester won't be coming to San Francisco as the free agent informed the Giants he would not be signing with them.
The highly-coveted free agent was considering the Giants along with the Red Sox, Cubs and Dodgers.
Giants are out on Lester.

The bidding appears to be down to the Cubs and Red Sox, according to the New York Post.

With Lester no longer an option, the Giants will likely turn their attention elsewhere. USA Today reported earlier on Tuesday that the Giants and Braves have engaged in talks about left fielder Justin Upton and third baseman Chris Johnson.
