The Giants leave a rainy Colorado and head for Los Angeles, where they begin a three-game series with the Dodgers on Monday.
But they won't have to deal with Yasiel Puig.
The Dodgers outfielder was placed on the 15-day DL Sunday due to a left hamstring strain that he aggravated on Friday in San Diego.
“It’s just a matter of not wanting to continue on,” Manager Don Mattingly told reporters Sunday, according to the Los Angeles Times. “We really feel like he’ll probably be able to play in four or five days. But we’re in the same situation we were in last week, where we wait four, five, he plays three and then something else. I think, at this point, get the thing right, make sure we have him for the long haul.”

Puig missed four games earlier in the season after originally injuring his hamstring. He returned to the lineup when the Dodgers were in San Francisco last week and collected four hits in 11 at-bats.
In just 11 games this season, Puig is hitting .279 (12 for 43) with two home runs and four RBI.
In addition to Puig, the Dodgers placed reliever Joel Peralta on the DL and called up pitchers Scott Baker and Carlos Frias. To create room for Baker on the 40-man roster, injured reliever Brandon League was moved to the 60-day DL.
