The Giants and Dodgers begin a three-game series in Los Angeles on Monday, and Yasiel Puig's availability is uncertain.
Puig missed four games last week with a left hamstring injury and he was forced to leave Friday night's game against the Padres after aggravating the injury.
It was an eventful night for Puig, who was hit in the left leg by a pitch in the first inning. He remained in the game, but then pulled up lame after grounding out to lead off the sixth inning and was removed.
Dodgers manager Don Mattingly told Ken Gurnick of MLB.com that Puig will be re-evaluated on Saturday, but he didn’t rule out the possibility of a stint on the disabled list.
