The Dodgers haven't been pleased with the production, or lack thereof, from Mat Latos, and decided to act on Thursday.
The team reportedly designated the right-handed pitcher for assignment, and reinstated Carlos Frias as a corresponding move.
Latos, 27, was 0-3 with a 6.66 ERA over 24 1/2 innings since the Dodgers acquired him from the Marlins.
He was 4-7 with a 4.48 ERA in Miami.
Heading toward the postseason, the Dodgers will ride their one-two punch of Clayton Kershaw and Zack Greinke.
