Nori Aoki is close to returning to major leagues. The outfielder completed his second Triple-A rehab game on Wednesday and afterward declared himself ready.
“I’m ready to get back,” he said after the game. “I’m ready for San Francisco and my leg feels as good as it could. I’m excited to play with the Giants again.”
Aoki played seven innings in left field Wednesday while going 0-for-3 at the plate, despite hitting the ball hard in all three at-bats.
The 33-year-old went 1-for-3 in his first rehab game.
