NAPA -- The Raiders signed defensive lineman Ryan Baker on Monday, a day after he worked out for team coaches and scouts.

Baker was brought in to add fresh legs to a position group beaten down by injuries. The Raiders had just two defensive tackles healthy for Sunday's workout, downgraded from a padded practice to a workout in shells due to a difficult injury situation.

Nose tackle Johnny Jones was waived/injured in a corresponding move.

Baker is a fifth-year veteran who played 17 games over four seasons for the Miami Dolphins. He's played all over the defensive line, primarily on the inside. The 6-foot-5, 332-pounder will play defensive tackle with the Raiders.
