Take Terence Newman off the Raiders' wish list.

The free-agent cornerback announced via his Twitter account Friday night he was returning to the Cincinnati Bengals, with whom he played 15 games and had two interceptions last season.

"After much time and thought, I'm heading back to Cincy," Newman wrote. "And for those of you who think it was about money, the Raiders offered more."

Newman, a two-time Pro Bowler who turns 35 on Sept. 4, visited the Raiders on March 14. He kept both Raiders and Bengals fans in suspense since his visit to Alameda by Tweeting out his thoughts and saying, at one time, that Oakland's uniforms were "dope."

In the end, Newman said a relationship with the Bengals defensive coordinator, who also coached Newman earlier in his career in Dallas, was the deciding factor.

"I came in with Mike Zimmer and feel its only right that I leave as him coaching me," Newman Tweeted. "Thanks to Raiders Nation for showing me such love."
