The three-day NFL draft will move from late-April to May 8-10 in 2014, due to a scheduling conflict with Radio City Music Hall, the league informed teams on Tuesday.

No decision has been made on dates for the draft in 2015 and beyond, according to the league. Radio City is not available next year because of plans for an annual Easter show that conflicts with the earlier NFL draft dates.

"Beyond that, if we want to move the draft back into the April period, we are going to have to look at other alternatives which mean other cities, other venues," NFL commissioner Roger Goodell said last week at the NFL owners meetings in Boston.

The NFL clubs also were informed that there would be no significant changes in the dates of other off-season events next year:

--Several regional combines will be held on various dates from Jan. 24 through Feb. 16, 2014. Some regional combines may be held after the scouting combine Indianapolis.

--The NFL scouting combine in Indianapolis will be held from Feb. 18-25, 2014.

--The new league year, and the free agency period, will begin on March 11, 2014.

The change in the date of the 2014 draft will have no effect on when rookies may begin to report to their clubs, the dates of off-season programs, or the length of off-season programs, the league announced.
