SANTA CLARA — Jim Harbaugh said Friday that he wants Randy Moss to return the 49ers next season.

Moss, who signed a one-year, $2.5 million contract with the 49ers in the offseason, had 28 receptions for 434 yards in the regular season.

Harbaugh said he plans to speak with Moss after the season about returning.

“For official publication, I definitely want Randy to come back,” he said. “And I hope he feels the same way.”
