The Sharks signed a pair of NCAA free agents to entry-level contracts on Friday in forward Rylan Schwartz and defenseman Eriah Hayes.

Schwartz, a 23-year-old from Colorado College, led all NCAA scorers with 53 points (20g, 33a) in 41 games.

Sharks general manager Doug Wilson said: "He has improved each of his four collegiate seasons and we look forward to helping him continue to develop and advance his career."

A native of Wilcox, Saskatchewan, the five-foot-ten-inch, 205-pound Schwartz has a brother, Jaden, who plays for the St. Louis Blues.

Hayes, 24, had 20 goals and 16 assists for 36 points in 41 games with Minnesota State.

"His leadership this season as one of the team captains is something we feel will help him with his professional development, and we are excited to be a part of that process,” Wilson said.

The six-foot-four, 210-pound Hayes is from La Crescent, Minnesota.
