The A's lineup is set for the Game 2 against the Orioles:

Oakland A's

1. Coco Crisp (S) DH
2. Chris Young (R) CF
3. Josh Reddick (L) RF
4. Jed Lowrie (S) 2B
5. Josh Donaldson (R) 3B
6. Derek Norris (R) C
7. Nate Freiman (R) 1B
8. Casper Wells (R) LF
9. Adam Rosales (R) SS
LHP -- Tommy Milone (3-1, 4.26 ERA)

Instant analysis:

The Orioles have a left-handed pitcher on the mound and A's manager Bob Melvin has elected to load up the lineup with righties. Casper Wells is in the starting lineup for the first time this season. The only lefty in the lineup is Josh Reddick, who moved up to the third spot of the order. Interestingly enough, Jed Lowrie is getting his first start at second base with the A's. Adam Rosales, also making his first start of the season, will be at shortstop.

One to watch:

He hasn't started a game in this season, but Wells has had some success against Wei-Yin Chen. He is 2 for 4 with a home run against the Orioles' starting pitcher. Wells is also known to be defensively sound. He may flash the leather in Oakland on Friday night.

Worth noting:

A's starting pitchers are 5-8 with a 6.12 ERA over the last 16 games. They are 4-8 since the nine-game winning streak. The A's aren't playing particularly well right now, but they still have a winning record. Maybe the lineup shakeup will spark them. If not, the reunion of the 1973 World Championship may serve as a motivating factor.

Baltimore Orioles

1. Nick Markakis (L) RF
2. Manny Machado (R) 3B
3. Adam Jones (R) CF
4. Chris Davis (L) 1B
5. Matt Wieters (S) C
6. J.J. Hardy (R) SS
7. Nolan Reimold (R) LF
8. Steve Pearce (R) DH
9. Alexi Casilla (S) 2B
LHP -- Wei-Yin Chen (1-2, 3.38 ERA)
