Warriors forward Harrison Barnes to throw out first pitch at A's-Yankees game

Warriors forward Harrison Barnes will throw out the ceremonial first pitch before the A’s vs. Yankees game on Tuesday night, the A's announced Monday. 

Barnes, 21, was selected seventh overall in the 2012 NBA Draft.  He averaged 9.2 points and 4.1 rebounds per game in 81 regular season contests in his first season with the Warriors. He was named to the NBA’s All-Rookie First Team. 

Barnes blossomed in the playoffs for Golden State, stepping up in David Lee's absence while averaging 16.1 points and 6.4 rebounds. 

Barnes' toss from the mound to open Tuesday night's game is scheduled for 6:56 p.m.
