Las Vegas betting website Bovada.com updated its World Series odds Wednesday and the Detroit Tigers, who were swept by the Giants in last year's World Series, sit atop the list with 13/2 odds of winning the title.

Detroit currently boasts a record of 44-38 and is a half-game back of Cleveland for first place in the AL Central.

The Pittsburgh Pirates, who have the best record in baseball at 51-31, are tied with Cincinnati with 14/1 odds.

Last year's champions, the now-struggling Giants, sit in the bottom half of the list with 25/1 odds. These are the same odds awarded to the division-leading Arizona Diamondbacks, who are three games ahead of the Giants despite their recent slide.

The Oakland A's hot streak hasn't gone unnoticed. Their odds of winning the World Series this year are at 12/1, behind only Detroit, Atlanta, St. Louis and Boston.
