A's thin at catcher after Norris fractures toe

Oakland A's catcher Derek Norris suffered a fracture in the big toe on his left foot following a play at the plate in Tuesday's loss to the Seattle Mariners.

A's manager Bob Melvin said that Norris may need a stint on the disabled list, but that a decision has yet to be made.

If Norris is unavailable Wednesday, it would leave the A's with just one healthy catcher in Stephen Vogt. John Jaso is currently on the DL with a concussion.
