The Royals have completed a trade with the Reds for ace Johnny Cueto.
Cueto, 29, had spent all eight years of his MLB career in Cincinnati.
The All-Star brings a 2.62 ERA to the Royals staff.
The Reds get three left-handed pitching prospects from the Royals in Brandon Finnegan, John Lamb and Cody Reed.
