MESA, Ariz. – Dayan Viciedo won’t be Oakland-bound as the free agent outfielder signed a minor league deal with the Toronto Blue Jays, according to Fox Sports’ Ken Rosenthal.
The A’s were interested in Viciedo as a right-handed hitting outfield option after he was released by the Chicago White Sox in early February.
The Blue Jays were in the market for an outfielder after Michael Saunders underwent knee surgery that will sideline him 5-6 weeks.
