Infielder Asdrubal Cabrera, one of the best remaining free agents, has agreed to a one-year deal, according to Fox Sports.
The deal is reportedly worth $8 million, according to the New York Post.
Before acquiring Casey McGehee from the Marlins on December 19, the Giants reportedly had interest in signing Cabrera to play third base.

Cabrera spent seven and a half seasons with the Cleveland Indians before being dealt to the Washington Nationals on July 31.
In 146 games in 2014, Cabrera hit .241 with 31 doubles, 14 home runs and 61 RBI.
