With the MLB trade deadline approaching, Scott Kazmir's start against the Yankees Wednesday is garnering extra attention.
Scouts from six teams will be in attendance to watch the A's starter pitch, according to Fox Sports.

The Blue Jays, Astros, Royals, Tigers, Nationals and Pirates all reportedly have scouts at Yankee Stadium Wednesday night.
Kazmir is in the final year of a two-year, $22 million deal with the A's. In his second season in Oakland, he is 5-5 with a 2.56 ERA in 16 starts entering Wednesday.
While the A's could deal Kazmir, their recent uptick in performance on the field has calmed the talk of trading impending free agents. Since the start of June, the A's are 19-14 and have outscored opponents 154-105.

The A's are currently in last place in the AL West, 10 games behind the first-place Astros, and 7.5 games behind the Wild Card-leading Angels and Twins.
