The Oakland Athletics and Josh Reddick have avoided arbitration with a one-year deal according to MLB.com.
Reddick, in his first year of arbitration eligibility, had filed for $3.25 million while the A’s filed for $2 million. The two sides reportedly ended up settling on a $2.7 million contract for 2014.
Lee adds that, having avoided arbitration with Reddick, the Athletics have avoided going to a hearing for the ninth consecutive year.
