The Mariners have already made significant upgrades to their offense in 2014 with the likes of Robinson Cano and the re-acquisition of Kendrys Morales, but it appears that they're still not satisfied.
According to Yahoo Sports, Seattle is putting some serious consideration into going after Dodgers' outfielder Matt Kemp:

Kemp had a breakout year in 2011 hitting .324 with 39 home runs and driving in 126 runs. Since then he has struggled to stay healthy, not coming anywhere close to those numbers.
Currently the Dodgers' highest paid outfielder is hitting a comparatively underwhelming .277 with eight home runs and 40 RBI.
Kemp is making $21 million in 2014 and is scheduled to make $107 million over the next four years of his contract.
