A's left-hander Sean Nolin was claimed off waivers by the Milwaukee Brewers on Monday.
Oakland designated the lefty for assignment on Feb. 12 to clear a 40-man roster spot for outfielder Khris Davis.
Nolin went 1-2 with a 5.28 ERA in six starts with the A's last year, a season that was sabotaged my multiple injuries, including complications from sports hernia surgery.
With Nolin's departure, the A's now retain just two of the four players they received from Toronto in the Josh Donaldson trade -- right-hander Kendall Graveman and shortstop Franklin Barreto, their top prospect. Infielder Brett Lawrie was traded to the White Sox during the winter meetings.
Nolin took to Twitter to express his gratitude toward the A's organization: "Thanks to the @Athletics organization for the opportunity and I'm excited for my next step with the @Brewers #SpringTraining2016"
