OAKLAND -– A’s first baseman Ike Davis left Monday’s game against Boston in the bottom of the fourth after suffering a leg injury.
Davis was not moving well on the bases as he ran out a double to right-center to lead off the inning. He could only advance to third on Brett Lawrie’s single to right. And with runners on the corners, Max Muncy entered to pinch-run for him.
There was no immediate announcement on Davis’ injury. Muncy stayed in and took over at first base in a game that the A’s led 3-2 in the fifth.
