Sean Doolittle was not available for Oakland's game in Kansas City on Sunday due to injury, but the A's reliever got hot watching his teammates in an emotional battle with a budding AL rival.

The most notable incident, among many, was when Royals pitcher Kelvin Herrera tossed a wayward pitch behind A's third baseman Brett Lawrie.
Herrera was then thrown from the game, and a scrum ensued.
