After the A’s traded Josh Donaldson to the Toronto Blue Jays in a deal announced Friday night, the All-Star third baseman took to twitter to thank the Oakland faithful.
Donaldson been with the A's organization since 2010 and wanted to share his gratitude toward the fan base:
This past season, Donaldson batted .255 with 29 home runs and 98 RBI in 158 games and was named to his first All-Star team. In four seasons in the majors with Oakland, the 28-year old third baseman has a .268 average with 63 home runs and 228 RBI in 405 games.
Oakland will receive third baseman Brett Lawrie and three prospects –- right-hander Kendall Graveman, left-hander Sean Nolin and shortstop Franklin Barreto.
