GLENDALE, Ariz. – A’s second baseman Ben Zobrist was scratched from Monday’s lineup with tightness below his left shoulder blade.

Manager Bob Melvin said via a team spokesperson that the move was precautionary and that Zobrist could have played during the regular season.

Joey Wendle replaced him at second base against the Los Angeles Dodgers.
