SANTA CLARA -- Pro Bowl linebacker Patrick Willis was back on the practice field Thursday after sitting out the 49ers' first practice of the week with a wrist injury.
Willis is not expected to be limited due to the undisclosed condition.
Veteran defensive lineman Justin Smith and second tight end Vance McDonald also were back on the practice field. Smith, a 14-year veteran, routinely does not practice on Wednesdays. McDonald missed Sunday's game against the Arizona Cardinals with a knee injury.
Tight end Vernon Davis (ankle) and right tackle Anthony Davis (hamstring) practiced for a second consecutive day and appear to be on pace to play Sunday against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Cornerback Tramaine Brock (toe) is not expected to be ready for action after sustaining his injury in the season opener on Sept. 7 against the Dallas Cowboys.
