SANTA CLARA – Linebacker Patrick Willis, who missed the 49ers’ game Oct. 19 against the Denver Broncos with a toe injury, was back on the 49ers’ practice field Wednesday afternoon.
Cornerback Chris Culliver and nickelback Jimmie Ward were also in uniform and taking part in individual drills, as the 49ers had a rare practice with every player on the 53-man roster in uniform.
Culliver (hamstring) and Ward (quadriceps) also did not suit up in the 49ers’ last game before the bye week.
In addition, guard Mike Iupati, who cleared the NFL’s concussion protocol, was also back on the practice field after missing a game.
Willis sustained a toe injury just before halftime of the 49ers' 31-17 victory over the St. Louis Rams on Oct. 13. He did not play in the second half and was ruled out for the following game agains the Broncos.
Willis said he did not sustain "turf toe," but rather a strained toe muscle.
The levels of participation for all the players will be released following practice, at approximately 4:45 p.m.
