SANTA CLARA -- Defensive lineman Justin Smith picked up two quarterback sacks on Wednesday -- two days after the fact.
Smith was erroneously not given credit for sacks on two tackles of scrambling Washington quarterback Robert Griffin in the 49ers' 27-6 victory on Monday night. The official statistics were corrected to reflect Smith’s pass-rush numbers after the Elias Sports Bureau reviewed the plays.
Ahmad Brooks, Aldon Smith and Justin Smith recorded two sacks apiece against Washington. Brooks leads the 49ers with a career-high 8.5 sacks, followed by Aldon Smith (6.5) sacks and Justin Smith (4.5).
