The 49ers medical staff has prohibited Colin Kaepernick from watching tomorrow's game against the Bengals from the team sideline citing concerns over his physical safety, CSN Bay Area learned Saturday.
Kaepernick's left arm remains in a sling as he recovers from arthroscopic surgery to repair a torn labrum.
A team spokesman says it is standard procedure for players on the injured reserve list to not be allowed to attend games on the sideline to prevent further injury.

Players can stand on the sideline if the medical staff deems them able to get out of harms way or are at no further risk.
The 49ers placed Kaepernick on IR on Nov. 21, 2015. He underwent a procedure three days later at the Steadman Clinic in Vail, Colorado.
Kaepernick is not expected to attend the game.
