Browns coach Mike Pettine is looking for a new offensive coordinator after Kyle Shanahan was released from his contract after one season in that role. Shanahan requested to be let out of his contract due to reported friction between the coaches and front office.
Roman, who will not return to the 49ers next season, remains under contract to the organization. He spent four seasons as Jim Harbaugh’s offensive coordinator.
