SANTA CLARA -- Cornerback Carlos Rogers will play Sunday in the NFC Championship game as the 49ers' nickel back, he said Thursday evening on his KNBR radio show.
Rogers returned to practice this week after missing two games with a right hamstring strain. As expected, Tramaine Brock and Tarell Brown will remain as the 49ers' cornerbacks, according to Rogers. Perrish Cox served as the 49ers' nickel back -- covering the slot receiver -- in the first two playoff games.

Rogers expects to enter Sunday's game when the Seattle Seahawks go with three wide receivers. Until he sustained his injury in the final game of the regular season, Rogers started every game at cornerback since signing with the 49ers in 2011. Rogers' main responsibility on Sunday could be covering Seattle slot receiver Percy Harvin, who has yet to be cleared after sustaining a concussion Saturday against the New Orleans Saints.
